I can't wait until Popp actually beats a major bad guy on his own. All of the main cast have beaten, or at least held their own, against a major bad guy. I hope we see Popp finally get there.

I want to love Popp, I really do! But he's honestly been useless from the start of the show till now. Most of the main enemies they've fought so far have had immunity to magic which made him COMPLETELY useless. If he had some at least party buff skills other than just offense magic he'd be much more useful. Heck even Ma'am has Midheal.

He's also the first to go down and he's the biggest hot head of the group too! Just look at there current shit situation and now not just Popp but Dai are at risk of death. Come on man, you gotta do better bro

Notice that, while still not quite up to par, his attitude and usefulness has been improving step by step. his cowardly ways are far behind him, he's been getting better at distracting the baddies and wiping out their subordinates, and it's been implied he's grown into a much more powerful mage than average.

Thorough the series his usefulness, power level and personality keep upgrading, faster than the others, it's just he started at rock bottom. And he's nowhere near done growing yet.

One of those characters that you eventually love for how far they've come.
